The GCSPF contributed to the Roadmap for Eradicating Poverty Beyond Growth. The GCSPF's contribution provides key messages and recommended policies to achieve universal social protection and its financing and advocates a change in the way policies for eradicating poverty should be organized and it provides a roadmap for several policies that are crucial for eradicating poverty.
The “Roadmap for eradicating poverty beyond growth” was launched by the Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights and the roadmap will be presented to the UN Human Rights Council in 2026. Read more

Webinar on the multiple roles of CSO's and Unions in Strenghtening Social Protection Systems

Advocating UHC in Asian Countries” during the Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD) 2025. Held at the ESCAP Building in Bangkok, the event brought together 40 health rights advocates, civil society leaders and development practitioners from across Asia to spotlight gaps in healthcare systems and push for equitable, accessible, and inclusive UHC in the region. Report: Tackling Inequality at its epicentre

An Urgent Policy Agenda for Governments and the International Community  The Report by DFI, African Council of Churches, Norwegian Church Aid, ACT Church of Sweden, and Felm, analyses the extreme levels of inequality in Eastern and Southern Africa and defines a policy agenda to cut it dramatically.
Eastern and Southern Africa is a global epicentre of extreme inequality, with two-thirds of its countries having very high income inequality, and even higher wealth inequality. Extreme inequality is increasing poverty and hunger, corroding politics, destroying citizen trust in governments, and sparking political unrest, fuelling division, and slowing growth. The Report finds that most of the governments in Eastern and Southern Africa are rowing backwards on policies to reduce inequality, so it will rise even higher in future. Read more

The Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) will bring world leaders together to forge a new international consensus on how to finance a better future for all. Yet, in practice, the first drafts of its outcome reveal a glaring omission: people. Despite rhetoric about inclusivity, the drafts are strikingly weak on social issues, as if financing and macroeconomic policies exist in a vacuum, detached from the lives they impact. Read more

Civil Society Call for a Global Fund for Social Protection

Civil society organizations and trade unions unite to call for a Global Fund for Social Protection to protect the most vulnerable.

Social Security for All

Civil society organizations and trade unions call governments and international financial institutions to make a commitment to create social security systems that enable everyone to realize their rights. Governments and financial institutions should end policies that have been failing millions of people.

SP&PFM Programme

The programme Improving Synergies Between Social Protection and Public Finance Management provided medium-term support to multiple countries aiming to strengthen their social protection systems at a national level and ensure sustainable financing. The programme aimed to support countries in their efforts towards achieving universal social protection coverage.
This initiative was implemented jointly by the ILO, Unicef, and the GCSPF.
