CBM’s event will introduce the concept of informal social protection and explore ways to integrate it with formal systems. It will address the diverse and intersecting barriers faced by persons with disabilities of all ages and highlight inclusive strategies from various national contexts. The panel brings together government representatives, practitioners, and self-advocates, offering a range of perspectives and expertise.

The co-chairs of the Global Coalition to End Child Poverty, UNICEF and Save the Children, invite to this session that will spotlight lessons from Bangladesh, Brazil, China and South Africa, and aims to mobilize collective action among governments, multilateral agencies, and civil society to scale up cross-sectoral solutions and coordination to tackle and end child poverty. A key focus will be on the role of social protection, particularly child benefits, in driving positive impacts across sectors such as health and education.
